Description

The mustard-yellow Cocotte dust has a diameter of 26 cm and is 16.7 cm tall with lid. It has a capacity of 5.2 litres and so is large enough if you like to entertain lots of guests. Cocottes are particularly good for slow braising meat or vegetables. They are made of cast iron, which distributes the heat slowly and evenly. The casserole is also enamelled inside. This reinforces the enamel’s stewing properties and the foods’ natural flavours. It is matt black, providing a contrast to the mustard yellow of the outside.
In the casserole from the La Cocotte range you can create French specialties or a delicious goulash. It is also suitable for stews and vegetarian dishes like ratatouille. The structure on the underside of the lid allows condensation to fall back onto the food. Meat is particularly tender and vegetables get the moisture they need.
