Description

A cocotte is traditionally used for stewing and frying. It originated in France where this casserole dish was designed to cook chicken dishes: in fact, the word "cocotte" itself is the French word for "little hen". The mustard-yellow casserole dish also acts as an eye-catching feature in your kitchen. The cocotte holds 2.6 litres and is perfect for cooking healthy and tasty dishes, for poultry as well as for pork and beef.

The round cocotte roasting pan has a diameter of 22 cm and is made of enamelled cast iron, an extremely robust material. This luxury casserole dish is perfect for creating exquisite culinary delicacies, whether you're cooking a Sunday roast for the family or coq au vin for friends.

Enamelled cast iron is made of carbon-rich iron with an enamel coating, predominantly made of glass. The unique feature about this material is its slow and even distribution of heat. Enamelled cast iron is also suitable for all types of cooker including induction hobs.

Thanks to the "spiked" structure in the lid, condensation is distributed evenly over the food in the pot, keeping the flavours in your food. Cocottes are perfect for creating tasty chicken dishes or for stewing vegetables as a side dish for weekend family dinners. Effortlessly cook tender vegetables and meat with this modern and professional casserole dish.

  • Ideal for searing and slow cooking of meat, fish or vegetables
  • Juicy and tender cooking result thanks to the lid’s special drip structure
  • The matt black inner enamelling is ideal for particularly crisp searing and is especially durable
  • Suitable for all types of hobs, incl. induction, can also be used in the oven/grill
