The cherry-red, oval cocotte is sure to whet your appetite for cooking. It looks good on the table and is therefore frequently used for serving cooked dishes. The handles on both sides mean that it is practical to use and its lid keeps food warm. Cocottes are traditionally used for slow-cooked dishes. The roasting pans originated in France and are ideal for cooking meat dishes as well as delicious vegetarian recipes.

The Staub cocotte holds 2.5 litres, has a width of 23 cm and, including lid, measures 14 cm in depth. It is made of cast iron, preferred by top chefs like Pau Bocuse for slow cooking and stewing, as cast iron stores heat particularly well and releases it slowly into your food. Cast iron also distributes the heat over the entire base of the pot, so that meat and vegetables are cooked evenly and the flavours of different ingredients blend wonderfully with each other.

The oval Staub cocotte has a matt black enamel coating on its inside. Its lid incorporates a 'spiked' design, by means of which rising steam drips back onto the food cooking inside, keeping your meat tender and juicy. This cocotte is also suitable for use on induction hobs or in the oven, to create a whole range of tasty meals for you and your family.
